Branding Isn’t Just A Logo

Have you been told that branding is a must-have for your business but don’t know why? Well, you’re in the right place.

Before you start reading about why branding is important, I’ll give you a quick introduction to what branding actually is and why it’s more than just a logo.

The goal of branding is to create a distinct identity for a business in the minds of consumers and target audiences. Branding is made up of different factors, all of which play an important role in establishing customer awareness and loyalty.

Creating a recognisable brand can help businesses differentiate themselves from their competitors, build a lasting impression on customers, and increase marketing ROI.

1- Differentiation

A strong brand will help your business stand out in a crowded marketplace by establishing a unique identity and personality that will resonate with your target audience. But don’t forget, a strong brand doesn’t mean you can get away with a shoddy product or lacklustre customer service!

You want your audience to remember and recognize your brand so make sure the logo is not too basic and not too detailed as it needs to be memorable, so make sure its unique!

2- Consistency

A consistent brand message across all of your marketing channels will help reinforce your brand identity and build up brand recognition over time. Stay consistent with you’re brand colours, your service, reliability, your products… you get the gist!

3- Customer Loyalty

A well-established brand creates an emotional connection with its customers, this usually leads to increased loyalty and repeat business. If you make your customers feel valued they will return the favour and order from you again in the future. They could also recommend you to their friends resulting in free advertising and good reviews.

This is where service and quality go hand in hand. So, this means you could provide amazing customer service ; then fall all the last hurdle because the product was of bad quality, thus inevitably leading to disappointment and loss of trust.

Your customers are spending their hard-earned money on your product, don’t let them down.

4- Better Stakeholder Relationships

A great brand will always lead to better relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, partners and will inevitably create an increased ROI.

This will be because your customer will be more likely to choose you over your competitors, resulting in greater sales and profitability!

5 - Easily Roll out New Products

Releasing a new product can go 1 of 2 ways…

You could release a new product and have an amazing response from your customers or it could be a complete fluke. Having good branding will always increase the chances of you having a good response to new releases. Your existing customers will already be interested in the new product based on their previous experience with your products; already creating that level of trust towards your entire brand and the service you’re providing. This makes it much more cost-effective and simpler for your brand to launch new offerings.
